LogiMAT 2018 – LOGSOL with bobsled world champion
LOGSOL also supports current bobsled world champion during the Olympic season
BOB TEAM FRIEDRICH – WORLD CHAMPION 2017 IN THE 2 AND 4-MAN BOBSLED, WORLD CUP OVERALL WINNER 2017 AND PERHAPS ALSO SOON OLYMPIC GOLD AT THE WINTER GAMES 2018. ABOVE ALL, HOWEVER, BOB TEAM FRIEDRICH STANDS FOR YOUNG, AUTHENTIC ATHLETES WHO ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT WHAT THEY DO, AND HAVE NOT LET THEIR SUCCESSES GO TO THEIR HEAD.
Bobteam Friedrich are starting their final Olympic preparations, for when these current world champions will be blasting down the ice track at the Winter Games 2018 in Pyeongchang. The winners’ podium is their objective – so strategy and technology have been planned well in advance. Of course, the costs involved cannot be borne without sponsors, and LOGSOL has been among these for four years. During this time, a close and enduring partnership has grown, based on more than the sporting successes and which also grants interesting insights behind the scenes. For example, the LOGSOL Team itself was able to take a dive into the world of professional sport during taster pushing training in Riesa, and to put itself to the test on the training device.
Competitive sport and logistics – what do bobsledding and logistics have in common
When one thinks of world-class bobsledding, synergies with logistics are hardly likely to be among the first things that come to mind. This impression changes quickly, however, upon closer inspection: after all, bobsledding and logistics both have to do with the constant improvement of times and processes, and a well-structured path to the optimal solution. It comes down to the right interaction between innovation and what is tried-and-tested. What this ultimately means, in detail, and how bobsledding and logistics can “learn” from each other will be explained by LOGSOL on 14.03.2018, in the framework of the LogiMAT specialist lecture “Continual process optimisation – right up to the finish line”, which will be held by Martin Schöne (Head of Logistics Planning) and Francesco Friedrich. Afterwards, the two will be answering questions in person at the LOGSOL fair stand (hall 8 ∙ stand C40). In addition to this, technology fans can get an up-close look at the 2-man bobsled of the Olympic Winter Games 2018.
