LOGSOL Competence Day: A virtual "PowerPoint battle" by and with the LOGSOL logistics hero Bastian Forejt, among others

On Friday, 03.07.2020, it was time again - because that was when our annual LOGSOL Competence Day for our logistics planners took place in the Dresden office. Since many colleagues often work externally at the customer's premises or are represented at the Stuttgart and Nuremberg locations during the year, all employees always gather in the Dresden office for the training days. This time, however, the Competence Day took a slightly different course: Due to the still valid regulations and distance rules, the workshop did not take place in a large room as usual, but the colleagues were distributed in small groups in different rooms.

This year's Competence Day was organised by the LOGSOL Innovation Managers, Franziska Pohl, Christoph Müller and Bastian Forejt. The theme of the competence day was "The big PowerPoint battle" - But what can you imagine under this title?

The workshop focused on standardization and knowledge transfer. The best presentation templates were to be compiled for eleven different topics from everyday project life (including material flow, process and project controlling). In eleven rounds, each group selected one slide from their projects that was best suited to illustrate the given topic area. Since this Competence Day was designed as a web training, the favoured slides were put online in Microsoft Teams after each round. Afterwards, the best designs were voted on using "Likes". The slides with the most "likes" will now be converted to standard templates and will be available to all employees in the future. The group that received the most "likes" for its slides was ceremonially declared the winner of the "PowerPoint battle".
