LOGSOL logistics hero Bastian Forejt - Who is behind it?
Since April 2019, our LOGSOL Senior Logistics Planner Bastian Forejt is logistics hero. He has been appointed by DIE WIRTSCHAFTSMACHER, whose campaign we have reported on our social media platforms several times.
But who is actually behind the face of our logistics hero?
Bastian Forejt has been an integral part of LOGSOL GmbH since 2015. After studying industrial engineering and management at the Technical University of Dresden, which he completed with a Master of Science degree, Bastian started as a logistics planner at LOGSOL. Today he is a senior logistics planner and has already successfully worked on many national and international projects: Intralogistics planning for a French automotive supplier, potential analyses in the international spare parts business within the construction industry as well as simulations, site expansions and planning in German production and trading companies.
In addition, he has been involved as a LOGSOL Innovation Manager for about 5 years together with his colleagues Franziska Pohl (Senior Product Manager) and Christoph Müller (Professional Logistics Planner). What does that mean? At LOGSOL, the LOGSOL Innovation Managers pursue all innovative ideas that our colleagues bring home from their logistics software and logistics planning projects. But that's not all: With the help of creativity workshops, business games and interesting trainings they create creative restlessness, animate the whole team to innovative top performances and provide a collective knowledge transfer!
Why was Bastian actually chosen as a logistics hero by DIE WIRTSCHAFTSMACHER?
For our senior logistics planner, the environment and sustainability play a major role - both professionally and privately. "For me, Green Logistics doesn't just start with the planning for the customer, but already on my own way to the consulting projects across Germany. I travel these by train instead of by car or plane. And for my daily commute to work, i.e. to the office, I take the bicycle." For Bastian Forejt, "[...] logistics is more than just process, space or cost optimization - it is always about people, their interaction and what surrounds them.
