Objective
- Implementation of a digital container management system for 4,800 access points and over 800 branches
- Optimized inventory management and timely delivery of containers to reduce transportation costs and empty runs
- Centralized digital control for greater transparency, efficiency, and scalability across the entire postal network
Implementation
- Project launch in 2022 with the selection and implementation of BinMan® as the new system platform
- Integration into the existing IT landscape, including backend connections, a web frontend for orders, and user-friendly scheduling and picking functions
- Agile development using Scrum to enable flexible customization
- Phased rollout: most functions implemented by May 2024; nationwide rollout in April 2025
