Current research and development projects
Sustainable factory planning with the BeFaNa project
As part of the BeFaNa project (consulting tool for sustainable factory planning), LOGSOL is working with TU Dresden to develop solutions to support businesses. A self-assessment tool helps to evaluate the current situation and identify key sustainability priorities. In addition, a consulting tool provides support with process analysis, efficiency assessment and implementation planning.
The aim is to integrate economic, social and environmental aspects for resource-efficient factory planning.
GEOBest: Smart geodata for efficient container management
In the GEOBest project (Smart geodata-based inventory tracking in container management for low-value load carriers), LOGSOL and Dresden University of Technology are developing a solution for the automated tracking of load carriers. Using a sensor network (‘lighthouses’ and ‘buoys’) and machine learning, stock levels are predicted with precision without the need to fit every single container with a sensor.
Voice4BinMan®: Voice-controlled innovation in container management
In the Voice4BinMan project, LOGSOL and Dresden University of Technology are developing a voice-based assistant for container management. This extension for BinMan® automates data capture during goods receipt and dispatch, damage documentation and quality checks. Through the context-based processing of voice inputs, the system automates workflows and improves transparency, process reliability and data quality.
DataSimPro: Data-driven simulation in production and logistics
In the DataSimPro project, LOGSOL is developing approaches for data-driven simulation models in production and logistics using process mining. The aim is to reduce the effort involved in data collection and preparation, and to map processes more efficiently. This will significantly improve the quality and availability of data in factory and production planning.
