BinMan®   Logistics software

The project

Referenz_Ehrlich_LOG-One_Bild_komprimiert

The aim of Ehrlich Logistics GmbH & LOG ONE GmbH was to use the BinMan® container management software to display all customer accounts as well as the vehicle and driver balances based on the load carrier movements made. For this purpose, the standard BinMan® solution was individually tailored to the customer’s requirements profile.

About the cooperation with LOGSOL:

Ehrlich logistics

Short distances and fast response – LOGSOL. After getting to know each other and finding a “common language”, a great working relationship developed. Question – suggestion – problem solution. Concise and efficient discussions characterize the communication, fast implementation of the discussed solutions distinguish LOGSOL.

The implementation

Specification and structuring phase

Based on a specification workshop and the requirements communicated by Ehrlich Logistics GmbH and LOG ONE GmbH, LOGSOL created a solution proposal for mapping all requirements in BinMan®. The customer’s focus was particularly on a practice-oriented implementation of the adaptations.

Realization phase

The BinMan® booking screens were tailored to the operational processes of Ehrlich Logistics GmbH and LOG ONE GmbH and expanded to include numerous new functions. This also included the revision of the master data module, which can now be used to display and analyze load carrier balances down to individual vehicles and drivers.

Further focal points in software development:

  • Over/under account structure of companies incl. levels (location, vehicle, driver)
  • Module for truck assignment (definition of driver-vehicle relationships, vehicle takeover and handover)
  • Function for load carrier voucher management
  • Individual booking mask with customer-specific filter options
  • Evaluation module for fleet and driver inventory analysis

Test phase

  • Provision of a QA test system
  • Automated, browser-based test runs
  • Model-driven software development

All software developments were extensively tested for full functionality/usability by the customer’s project managers and LOGSOL in the QA system provided and approved by Ehrlich Logistics GmbH & LOG ONE GmbH. Additional solution approaches were also developed, which were specified later in the project and fully implemented for the client.

About the decision for BinMan® 2.0:

Ehrlich logistics

We were looking for a flexible pallet program that could map all our processes. We lacked evaluation options and up-to-date account statements for reconciliation with customers, and drivers and vehicle balances were almost impossible to check. The market for such software was manageable and the range on offer was rather flat. With LOGSOL, we found a partner who wanted to work with us to develop “our” pallet program based on their solution.

CEO, LOG ONE GmbH

The results

Introductory phase and go-live

During the introductory phase, the key users of Ehrlich Logistics GmbH and LOG ONE GmbH received personal on-site training in Wittenberg. LOGSOL also provided the individual databases and separate domains for the clients. LOGSOL also took care of the initial data migration of the master data using CSV imports and manual entries. Since the successful go-live, Ehrlich Logistics GmbH and LOG ONE GmbH have had a free help desk system and a support hotline at their disposal.

About BinMan® container management

Development at the customer since the use of BinMan® 2.0:

Ehrlich logistics

Together, we grew our version of BinMan® – and we also had to learn how to use the new tool. Since then, processes have become more transparent. We are now able to create time-critical evaluations and analyses at the touch of a button. Driver and vehicle balances can be displayed and, above all, checked. We have achieved the project goals. Now it’s time for the “fine tuning”.
