For further route planning, the customer was looking for a complete solution that would consolidate all results and thus ensure a transparent, uniform database. To identify optimization potential in the tugger train system used, Cooper Standard Vitré also needed an integrated function that could be used to model various scenarios. In 2016, LOGSOL supported the customer in this project with the tugger train planning tool RoutMan®. As part of a two-day workshop, including on-site user training, the aim was both to recreate the first existing routes and to create new ones. To this end, LOGSOL developed a general practical example that fully introduced the users to the software. The participants then independently mapped projects in RoutMan® and calculated individual scenarios. For example, routes were checked for possible combinations and additional production areas were assigned to the supply using tugger trains.
