BinMan® UI Refresh – Modern design for efficient working
BinMan® has established itself as an indispensable tool for our customers’ container management. By continuously developing and optimizing the user interface (UI) and the user experience (UX), we strive to make the tool’s use as intuitive and efficient as possible.
A breath of fresh air for proven technology
The current BinMan® user interface has been in use since 2017. During this time, it has proven to be robust and functional, but technology continues to advance at a rapid pace. Modernization is therefore essential in order to meet the requirements and demands of today’s users and to further increase user-friendliness.
The intuitive operation of our software products is of central importance to us. That’s why we’re also updating the underlying technical tools as part of the UI refresh. The new front end will be based on Angular. This is an open source framework developed by Google that is used to create dynamic and interactive web applications. Future use of the Angular Material component library will enable a more consistent design and more accessible interaction. And aspects of digital accessibility are already addressed to a large extent.
The BinMan® refresh: innovation meets user-friendliness
A UI refresh is more than just a new look. It represents creative brainstorming and the iterative refinement of ideas and designs to enrich the user experience. Our aim is to offer our customers the best possible container management, both functionally and visually.
The upcoming improvements cover numerous aspects:
- Header bar: Restructuring and profile dropdown for faster access to personal settings
- Navigation: Optimized menu bar, submenus, and tabs, as well as position indicator
- Forms: Modernization of structure and interaction
- Filters and tables: Reduction to essential information and detailed views with improved performance
- Help: Collapsible sidebar for central, faster access to various help options
- Options: Pop-up window for context retention
These measures are just a small part of the extensive innovations planned for BinMan®. Our aim is to continuously optimize our software, always taking into account the valuable feedback from our customers. This close cooperation enables us to ensure that BinMan® is able not only to meet current requirements but also to master future challenges.
