For material flow planning in digital factory planning, the planning of route trains is an important component. RoutMan® is a very good solution for us for this planning task and, as SaaS, offers a software solution that is easy for us to use and maintain. Since the calculation models are all aligned with the relevant VDI guideline, the overall context of route planning can be taught very well first theoretically and then practically with RoutMan® using an industry example. Furthermore, we see a very good opportunity in the future to couple RoutMan® with VisTable and then to realize a continuous, holistic material flow and layout planning.

RoutMan® as a complete solution
We participated in a workshop with LOGSOL for two days, which focused on the RoutMan®️ software. During this time, we were able to develop an understanding of how RoutMan®️ works and what criteria are taken into account. These criteria have a direct impact on the efficiency of our red trains. We also had the opportunity to use RoutMan®️ for existing cases to review our previous decisions as well as for future changes.
